Judy Merrick (Oliva) Is making her Theatre In the Heights return. Previously, she played Olivia in Twelfth Night. She recently moved to Nevada City from New York City. Major Shift. Where she lived and worked in the theatre scene for 13 years. After taking a small break to enjoy the mountains and the trees she missed the stage to much and came out of retirement for Twelfth Night. She works in all aspects of the theatre to help make the page come alive both on and off the page.

Other Shakespeare roles include Portia in Merchant of Vience, Lysander in MidSummer Nights Dream, Calpernia in Julius Caesar. Co-founder of the NYC theatre Company The Amoralist, credits include The Cheaters Club (Abrons Art Center) , Pied Pipers of the Lower East Side, Adam Rapp's Ghost in the Cotton Woods, Happy in the Poor House, Bring Us The Head of Your Daughter, and Hotel/Motel. The Bad and the Better (Playwrights Horizon) other NY credits include TACT (MTC), 3 The Hard Way (HERE), Trojan Woman (Kraine Theater) Blood Brothers (The Brick) Noah's Arkansas (New Ohio) Reborning (Wide Eyed) Knuckleball (NY, San Fran, London, and Edinburgh Fringe) ,which she won best actress and best play. Adam Rapp's The Hallway Trilogy, Jesse Eisenberg's Asuncion, Horse Dreams, and Yosemite and Sam D. Hunter's The Few.

Directing credits. Assistant Director on 4000 Miles by Amy Hertzog (Lincoln Cente; Obie), Gordy Crashes, Robot(w/ Wide Eyed Productions) Zombie Girl, Float (both which she won best director) in Endtimes Production's Vignettes for the Apocalypse. Schools include MFA USC , Royal Academy of Dramatic Arts London, grad school American Acadamy of Dramatic Arts NYC. This is for my mom who would have loved to see me in this role. And to Cali and family whom I love.
