He is one of the founding members of Shakespeare on the Vine and has acted in every performance we have produced. He received his Bachelor's degree in Drama from San Francisco State University. He has also worked as an actor for Contra Costa Musical Theatre, PCPA Theatrefest, Sutter Street Theatre, Old Tyme Melodrama and Cabaret, and Hounddog Entertainment (Murder Inc) in shows such as: Greater Tuna, Young Frankenstein, Kiss me Kate, and Camelot where he received a Shelley Award for his portrayal of Pellinore. In 2014, Mark had a dream come true when he was able to spend two weeks studying at the Globe theatre in London.

Mark has directed productions of Fiddler on the Roof, Guys and Dolls, Jerry's Girls, Snoopy, Twelve angry Jurors, Play it again Sam, Midsummer Night's Dream, King and I, just to name a few. His award winning production of La Cage Aux Folle was chosen to open The Lesher Center for the Arts which just celebrated its 25th Anniversary. Mark's original play, From Their Memory Comes Hope, a play about AIDS/HIV, performed by HS students was invited to perform in Washington DC in 1998, for the final unveiling of the complete AIDS Memorial Quilt.

Mark is proud to have many of his former acting students working in "the industry" appearing on Broadway, and working on both sides of the camera in film. He is proud to be sharing the stage with such amazing talent. With that said his greatest joys will always be his two sons, Dan and Ben. Thank you Cindy for all your support.
